RTS off – But most people still thinks the game looks amazing even without ray tracing
A few days ago, Nvidia enthusiastically shared some new 4K screenshots from the upcoming PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2. The screenshots had a RTX stamp in the corner, leading some to believe it was a confirmation of that the game will support ray tracing effects. However, Nvidia followed up with another tweet clarifying that it was only a little marketing for the RTX 20 series of graphics cards, and that Red Dead Redemption 2 will not support ray tracing.
“Just a heads up to avoid confusion – the GeForce RTX logo here references our GeForce RTX 20 series products. Red Dead Redemption 2 does not have ray tracing.” -NVIDIA
